    ive just started having major audio/video sync problems only in media player 9 after install winmpg convertor program. Ive uninstalled winmpg but the problem remains. the mpgs play fine in power dvd.
    I beleieve it may be a codec problem? this was probably asks a thousand times but cant locat the info. How to you change what codecs are used for playback of mpg files? Thanks for any help.

    Hi
    Just accept that WMP 8 or 9 are both a pile of pooh.
    Use PowerDVD for all your files.
    It plays DivX and everything.
    Or try freeware like zoomplayer.
    They are all better than WMP.
