I downloaded the "full" version of VCDEasy, ver. 1.4b5, and I also downloaded the Adaptec CDRDAO version 1.7. I tried to download all of the CDRDAO, and all I have is something in greyed out, and I can't import anything. I tried to install the Adaptec files with the batch file (I'm running XP), and I got a message that says that the first two out of the three files were "rejected." (The dll, apparently was accepted after I ran the batch file. ) Still nothing.
I haven't used the "force" Adaptec files, because I read in the VCDEasy site that it will cause an XP machine to crash. I have a CD-RW writer. What do I do now??????
BTW, I was able to "encode" raw footage into an MPEG1, and all I want to do is burn it on a CD-R so I can send footage of my kids to my Dad who has a DVD player that I got him for Christmas. Will the VCDEasy software allow me to encode for a MPEG2 file, which would allow SVCD? I'm hopeless and hapless; please help.
