Triple XXX Sound & Sum of All Fears !!!!! ???????? !!!!

Interesting problem with converting Triple XXX (Vin Diesel) movie. I have never had problems with converting movies before. Anyway I ripped it with Smart Ripper 2.4 without a problem, then I converted the.VOB's with FlaskMpeg 0.594 everything seemed to convert fine, DivX 4.12 using Lame 3 MP3.

But during playback of the .AVI you can hear clearly, like a commentator
or someone that is critiqueing the movie. This also occured using the same process and playback of "Sum of all Fears".

Has this happened to anyone else?
Any suggestions?
Is this a new technique from preventing copying?

Anybody, please help.

When ripping in smartripper,check stream processing and only select the audio track you want and the video and or the subs. You could also use ifoedit to strip out the audio you don't want.

I'll try ripping it again. Although all the other rips I've done I never used stream processing and they all turned out fine (#65 rips).

In a whole other situation a similar thing happened with a FM stereo station back in the 70s.

NOTE: I had my car stereo speakers wired in a passive matrix scheme, this gave me out of phase sound, ambient suround on the 3rd speaker.
The 3rd speaker only put out sound when there was a differance sinal between left and right channels. IF the sound was mono, the 3rd speaker did not produc any sound. Not unlike todays ProLogic dolby suround.

Story; One day on a Ft. Wayne IN station they were playing music, seems the DJs, there were 2 of them, talking which was picked up and playedvery clear about 6db aboce the regular stereo music. Seems that instead of the mic kill switch grounding the 2 mic it floated the ground, in other words the hot wire of left and right channels were still connected with the 2 mics sharing a common (ground) that was not properly grounded. This resulted in the private conversation being transmitted along with the stereo music over the FM signal.

I am sure they had NO idea anyone could hear their in-studio conversation. This can also be dne to create a 3 channel sound track using only 2 actual channels, just feed the 3rd signal to both left and right but our of phase (180%). You can also use a seperate sound source as a center channel by feeding it in exact equal amounts to both channels.
