  1. Accidentally shutting down my pc when encoding 2 pass VBR MPEG-2 480x480 29.97fps VBR 2000kbps - SVCD, movie: starwars2 length: 142 min. Maybe stop at 60%. After restart windows, i found there is m2v file only 500+ mb, i played it of course it stopped at 35min.

Also use virtualdub for frameserving. is there any way i just resume 2nd pass without doing first pass all over again?
I checked encode log stops at:

    Hey ghoster,

Thanks for the laugh of the day for me. Great timing on the "no but it is a heck of alot faster". Could have a contest to come up with the best jokes with match that punchline !!

The no restart thing is one of the things I most dislike about any multi-pass process. I'm trying to think if any of the encoders have any restart facility built in ??

    ghoster,

Trying to be humorous can so badly be misunderstood on electronic communications.

Definately CCE is WAY faster. I was not making fun of you by any means at all. It was just the flow of svcdnewbie's comment, then yours, which is true, had a rhythm like a comedian and a straightman. It also wasn't one I expected.

You're point though about the speed ghoster is unquestionably true.
