  1. I have a AVI (Divx) movie and I want to be able to burn it to a DVD.
I can view the file on my pc, so I guess I have the Divx codec installed.

The file length is about 700mb.
I have converted it using the help that has been posted but I am not sure what bitrate to use. I did try a bit rate of over 5000 but the output file was larger than what could fit on a single 4.3G DVD.

I know there are bitrate calculators available, but any help would be appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

Remember to let us know what program you are using. I use TMPGEnc to encode my files before burning. Takes most of the guesswork out of burning. If you know how to use a bitrate calculator, this site has one in the Tools section.
    Hello.

  3. I dont think that there is any point in putting the bitrate any higher than it was before, since you cant make it any better.
