Has anyone used one of these, or another card that does hardware assisted MPEG2 encoding? I'm curious to hear how fast you can encode with one, and whether they are worth investing in...
Thanks,

Try this - http://www.tecoltd.com/enctest/enctest.htm
or http://www6.tomshardware.com/video/20010730/index.html
TomsHardware has a full review while the Teco site has a mix of hardware and software encoders - while it doesn't have the 2500 it does review the 2000
It doesn't do too well - hopefully things are better with the 2500

Thanks for that. Both links were useful. Tom's also had a comparison of RT2500 to other boards.
I think I'll save my money for a new Dual CPU system..... -
I'm also looking at that card.
Wondering if any MATROX RT2500 users have any feedback.
FYI: That TOM'S review page was a waste of my time. It's almost two years old. I actually feel dumber after reading it.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
