  2. In Nero, (any version)
You can burn a BIN file by selecting Burn Image under File. Select the CUE file (a text file telling Nero what to do with the bin file), then burn.
If the BIN file was created correctly you should have an SVCD disk.

I did what you said...now how do I test it to see if it works. I put it in my DVD-rom drive and it said windows does not support that file type or CD is corrupted.

  4. NOT in any version.

Only in the newer ones. The older versions of Nero 5.5 did not fully support CUE/BIN images and screwed them up if you tried to burn them.

The newer ones are better. I know that my own version (which came with my burner 5.5.8.5) does support CUE/BIN images so presumably, from this version and up should be "okay" (though Nero still has some problems).

You play VCDs on a stand-alone DVD player or on the PC with a software DVD player.

If Windows cannot read your disc, something went wrong somewhere...

I suggest you post more details on exactly what you did.

    Regards.

  5. Had problems with nero burning bin\cue files as well way back when

Then I started converting the bin file to an iso file using a program called WinISO

Once the bin was converted to an iso file - nero burnt the iso image fine without any problems using the "burn image" option
