  2. well most of the time you get the sup files form the vob files you ripped form a dvd. i heard you can download subtitles some where but i am not sure what format they are in and if you could be able to convert them to sup files. also i wouldn't add the chapters if i was you because there is a pretty good chance that your video will freeze when you play it. it has happen to me so i did some checking and i found out the ifoedit has a bug and needs to be updated to fix the problem on adding chapters.

  4. if you copying from a dvd it would be easy to add sutbtitles in ifoedit you just use vobedit. well intill ifoedit gets updated pretty much screwed using that as your authoring program to add chapters. so if you want to add chapters and subs better bet a differnet authoring program.

  5. IfoEdit can handle chapters managed by a text file. And the format is rather easy. If you are authoring a NTSC DVD you have to multiply the time to 29.97.

    Example:

    Chapter 1: 0 sec
    Chapter 2: 1 min : 30 sec
    Chapter 3: 2 min : 12 sec

The file you have to create must be
    0
    2697
    3656

    (# of seconds * 29.97)

If you are working with a pal Disc, you have to multiply to 25 not 29.97 . Pretty easy, but for subtitles i don't know anything about convert from a text file to a sub file that ifoEdit accept...

  7. Yes, i found a DVD Rip of the pilot of SmallVille, and convert it to MPEG2, and then figure out how to use the chapters.

As i convert to NTSC DVD, i just multiply the time in seconds to 29.97 and it work perfectly....
