convert divx to svcd

I need a guide to show me what progam to use and how to convert divx to svcd. Can someone please tell me how or show me where to find out how to. Because I can't find it on this site. I can only find how to convert to vcd. But my dvd player plays vcd very bad and causes the movie to freeze during play and glich.

You'll need to drop some more info here. What DVD player ? What programs are you using to create the SVCD ? My Limit player plays VCDs - but very badly - but encoding to SVCD isn't a solution, I have started using TMPGenc templates to encode VCDs that'll play on my machine. Give as much info as you can and people will jump at the chance to help you out - hopefully !!
