  2. EZ CD Creator 4 Deluxe only burns standard VCDs so your video will have to be VCD compliant MPEG-1 files. If you click on "What is VCD" on the menu to the left, you'll see the specs that it has to be.

SVCDs use MPEG-2, but Easy CD creator 4 cannot create SVCDs.

BTW, MPEG-1/2 Layer 1/2 refers to the audio. Both VCDs and SVCDs use audio encoded in MPEG-1 Layer 2 audio.

  4. Read my previous post carefully. The audio is supposed to be in MPEG-1 Layer 2.

There is something else wrong with your MPEG file. What does Easy CD Creator say is wrong?

  6. Okay.

Play the MPEG in Windows Media Player. Look at it's properties (File --> Properties). You should be able to read the spes of the mpeg.

For a MPEG to have even a chance of being VCD compliant it must first have the following:

    encoding (video): MPEG-1
framesize: 352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL)
framerate: 29.97fps (NTSC) or 25fps (PAL -- or 23.976fps (NTSC FILM)
    video bitrate: 1150 kbit/s

    encoding (audio): MPEG-1 Layer 2
    bitrate: 224 kbit/s
    audio: 44.1 kHz, 16bit stereo

If any of the above are wrong, then your MPEG can't be VCD compliant without re-encoding.

If all the above are correct, you could try demultiplexing and remultiplexing your MPEG. You can do this with TMPGEnc (File --> MPEG Tools). If you do it this way, make sure you select MPEG-1 Video-CD for the muxing rather than MPEG-1 Auto.

What are you using to convert it to VCD ?. TMPGENc has templates that you can load, this then produces a VCD mpeg that is exactly correct.

The red X indicates the "exact" fault, it tells you what it is !! 1058 sounds like kbit/s this is not correct.

    Video-CD PAL (MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)

As you can see from this PAL VCD, its 1150kbps.

  14. Burn with Nero, it surpasses EZ Cd creator so much, it's disgusting. You are using the videoCD template when you re-encode, right?

    Hi Again

Ok, you are not loading the template when you are using TMPGEnc, so it is not producing a fully compliant VCD mpeg.

Use the template you will not have any problems with Easy cd creator, unlike a million users on here who constantly complain about Nero !! don't take my word search the messages.
