Ok,
DVD's in question : Crocodile Hunter and Reign of Fire
Software Used: SmartRipper 2.41
TMPGEnc Plus 2.58.44.152
SubRip 1.14
DVDMaestro 2.9
Ok, I have ripped both of these DVD's using SmartRipper. For some reason the m2v file on Crocodile Hunter will not import as an assett into DVDMaestro. It goes in but only as a 1 second file. The movie just disappears. I play the m2v file and it works just fine in my player so I know it is actually there. Now with RoF it's simply just too big.
The RoF does import into DVDMaestro just fine btw. Ok so anyway I decided to reencode these. I am using TMPGenc and decided maybe a reencoded Croc Hunter would work with DVDMaestro. I just needed to shrink Reign of Fire to fit on a DVD-5.
Anyway, whenever I run them through TMPGenc without fail they become offset so to speak. It's hard to explain but it's like the encoding is moving too slow.
Example:
RoF Encode starts up, then it encodes. When completed it does not have the entire movie but it encoded all the frames. Odd. So I decided to watch the m2v file source as it was encoding. I noticed that as it progressed the encodings Source Completion was incorrect in comparison to the originals for the same timestamp.
Does this make sense...??? And it seems to happen on both m2v files. Just as an aside I also ripped these with DVD Decryptor as well with the same results....
What bonehead idiot thing am I doing wrong here that makes the encoding process not get the entire m2v file. I have tried changing the bitrates and source ranges as well to no avail...
Help Please!
