Hi,
I recently got a copy of Spruce Up.
I want to import a file and have looked in the help file for supported mpg files e.g resolution, bit rate etc.
I ripped the .VOB file i wanted off the DVD and converted it to MPEG-2 using Flask and the bbMPEG encoder. i used a 720x480 resolution with the rest on default settings.
I can play this file in WinDVD fine, but it keeps saying Invalid parse in Spruce - up
Can anyone give me the name of a program that will let me convert VOBs to MPEGS and let me import them in Spruce.
Cheers
John

Don't convert the vob. Demux the vob with Tmpeg into it's elmentary m2v and ac3 streams. Spruce will have no problem importing the m2v and ac3.

I use SpruceUp for dvd backup, here is the guide that I used.

wulf was correct about m2v and ac3, but make sure that before you import them that they are both named exactly the same i.e. made.m2v and made.ac3. If not you won't get any sound.
Good Luck
