...an editable format I can get at with Ulead's Video Studio 6 (VST6).
I've got ULead's DVD Movie Factory 2 (DMF2) and I can "Import DVD Video" and get at my footage, but that only allows me to arrange, clip, delete chapters, etc - I can't add effects, text overlays, scene transitions - in other words to actually EDIT the video.
I'd like to convert it to *.mpeg, or M-JPEG, or DV - some sort of audio/video interleave that VTS6 can work with. I've tried things like VOB Edit to yank the video out - that creates an *.m2v file, but then VTS6 looks at that file and cliams there's no video in it. Gah!
ULead's Tech Support is out for the Holidays, and here I sit with about five full days I could be working with this stuff and furthering my education, but I'm dead in the water if I can't get at the footage to begin with.
Any help would be appreciated.
