  1. Alright i have this XVID movie which is 576x240 resolution now i follow the guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencsvcd.htm and i did this right down to the last detail, with all my specs matching it.I also used this guide: http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/119019.php
and changed my settings as it said i have made two files using virtual dub one with audio and no video the other with video and no audio as the guide says, I burnt it as a NTSC FILM, it previews fine as its doing it and even when i burn it there are no problems. It also is fine when i play it in WMP, but then when i play it on my LG DVD player and the picture is totally screwed its flickering with two big black lines on the screen cutting the picture into 2 and bit parts showing the movie that many times, the video is the colour is black and white. The audio is fine and in sync but the picture is screwed u can see the movie but as i said it is totally screwed. 6. What LG player do you have? Most LG players don't support SVCD.

576x240 isn't anything. Although I think it's from a Pal DVD origianally. That's a 2.40:1 aspect ratio. You can encode this to 320x240 MPEG1. You can Encode this to a letterbox of 480x480 (it will be a slightly smaller that usual in the vertical, since the result befor letterbox should be 480x268 to keep the aspect ratio).

This is just a lousy resolution to start with, Garbage in, Garbage out.
