  1. i capture (VHS) with" Ulead Videostudio 6" and the video is really good but the sound which is input through my sound card (from the vcr to the box to the sound card)comes out like a two bit speaker. i am using an ADS capture box(really good) and the video quality is pretty much perfect. any ideas as how to make the sound quality better? i did a burn test of 10 minutes on DVD and the sound that came out of my speakers(really bad) was the same on the DVD. My sound card can handle 48mhz and sounds great when playing DVD's on the PC. Do I need to change software or add software?
    any help would be appreciated.

  2. Don't use that software myself, but have had similar problems capturing to avi with Vdub. My problem was the audio input level was too high, leading to distortion. I got round it by lowering the input level (double click the speaker icon in the system tray, select properties, recording and drag the level down). May not be your problem but the symptoms sound similar. good Luck.

  3. Maybe try to capture the sound via "stereo mix" and not "line". That might help sometimes.
B.t.w. Can you help me on my topic please? http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=134400
