VCDs play fine on my laptop with Windows Media Player 7.01, but there is no sound. When trying to play a CD I get an error message stating that the sound card is not responding. Sound media players such as WinAmp and Real Player work fine with MP3s. Volume is turned up and mute is not on.
What could be wrong?
