Koss KD 230-2 DVD Player

Hello i am new here.I was in the DVD list and seen the model Koss kd 230 was there but not mine, Does the 2 at the end really make a difference or not.I was wondering if the region free hack would work on mine??.Also i am having a problem.My Star wars Episode 2 Attack Of The Clones Disc 2 (the special features disc)DVD will not work in mine, It does work but is all choopy and picture is really messed up and says "skipping bad disc area" Tried cleaning DVD didn't work.I went to try it on our Lenoxx DVD 2003 and it worked in that but won't work in my Koss.Is there something wrong with my Koss?? Any help would be apperciative.Thanks 8)

I have a stand alone Koss dvp2162 and when i try to record to my hard drive using several different video editing programs I get a white bar thru the middle of the picture. I guess it's macrovision so if u have any solutions weather it's hardware or a software solution it would be greatly appreciated. I've got lazy in my old age and instead of ripping the dvd an going thru that process i'd just like to use a program like ulead dvd workshop and record an edit the dvd that way, also with movies that are over 4.7 gigs I would'nt have to go thru all the extra steps of just ripping and burning it.
