I just bought a Pioneer A)% and have been trying all day and night to author a DVD with my movie files but every time I get half way through the authoring process, MYDVD gives me an error about " to many picture GOP" what does this mean. Also is there a better and fairly cheap DVD authoring software that will automatically take MPEG1 (or VCDS) and put them on a DVD? Please help. I hope I didn't blow over 200 bucks on the crappy software bundled with the Pioneer DVD-r drive.

Do you know about the Sonic forum MB's at http://forums.sonic.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi ? I think I've seen this type of question there, but I don't have MyDVD, so could be a different problem.
You'll probably get an answer back pretty quick!

I use MyDVD and never encountered that error, but it sounds like your MPEG file is way out of spec.Try encoding your video through TMPGEnc first.

Yes check your GOPs - it's like 15 or 18 pictures per GOP depending on PAL or NTSC (but at this late time I can't remember which is which).
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
