What could be wrong? Why can't I have sound in the DVDs?

  2. You'll need to provide alot more details for anyone to help you.

What tools are you using, what steps did you take to make the DVD ?

What exactly are you trying to do - backup an existing DVD or creating a new one after editing your own video ?

I am taking episodes of South Park in AVI format and using neoDVD standard to copy them to my hard drive. The sound works with the menu I added with the program but the sound on the episodes aren't there. What could the problem be?

  4. You can't just do a straight copy from AVI to DVD without converting it first.

    Try this guide :

The program converts it by itself.

  6. Sorry, don't know that much about neoDVD but usually AVIs need to have the audio extracted separately using VirtualDub +before re-encoding for mpg.

Why not just try following the guide to see if that'll work.

Well I am trying again with some audio things turned on. If it doesn't work this time I will do the way you said to do.

  8. hmmm I have issues with sound on DVD's I make but it's a little different, the Mpeg audio I use for my dvd's does not play over the optical out on my player, I have to use the analog audio lines to hear it. If you are playing this on a desktop give that a shot if you are using digital audio connections..
We will either find a way or make one - Hannibal
