Happy New Years everyone,
Hope someone can help me with this problem. I recently upgraded to Toast 5.0 using an updater. Since then I have been unable to properly burn VCDs created with either Quicktime or via ffmpegX. Toast accepts the mpeg in the VCD window and burns as usual. When I try to play it in my standalone DVD player I get nothing. No sound or video. The DVD player loads the vcd and acts as if it's playing the disc. I hit fast forward or fast rewind and it acts as if it's scanning through the disc. When the disc is stopped the correct movie time duration is displayed on the DVD players LCD window. On dics with multiple mpeg segments I can even forward through the correct number of sgements. I have tired packaging the mpeg in a Bin/cue and this also doesn't work. Interestingly enough I can watch the same VCD dics on my Mac using vlc. I don't think it's the mpeg cause I can take the very same bin/cue file and burn it with MissingMediaBurner and it plays perfectly as usual on my DVD player.
Well, you must be asking "What's the problem, this guys able to burn the VCD's he wants". Well, I can't seem to get multi-track VCD's to burn yet. MissingMediaBurner will not do that unless it's packaged into a bin/cue file first. I use vcdtoolsX to package multi-track mpegs into a bin/cue file. But for some reason vcdtoolsX doesn't seem to want to process some of them. I click the start button, it quickly flips to stop and back again. It does not process the files. With Toast 5.1.4 I was just able to drag the list of mpegs into the VCD window and it would burn them all in their proper order as a VCD. Anyone now what I can do to get this to work again? I'm running OSX 10.2
