  1. The file I'm trying to author onto a disk is 3.85 GB or (4,136,302,697 bytes) mpg. The program (MYDVD autho tool) tells me the 4.7 disk is over filled to 5.47 GB. Hardly any menu at all. Background picture with one button. Why is it filling up all that space.

  2. MyDVD converts your MPEG audio into LPCM which takes the audio bitrate up to about 1.4Mb/s. That is what makes your files larger.

  3. yeah, also I just read through their web site that you can only import files at the best rate wich is 60 min per disk. Truck me. Any autho tools that are very basic that will make this work?

  4. Any program that doesn't do that?

Ulead DVD Movie Factory works well, with out the same audio limit that MyDVD has. I own both, but only use Movie Factory now. It's also very easy to use.

  6. I have a problem with ulead workshop. Just at the writing process (to DVD+R disk) it stop, because of unknown error. I think it's cause +R and not -R.

  7. Just save it as a DVD folder then and use Nero to burn.

Try Spruceup for authoring,it supports ac3 and mpeg audio. I find it very easy to use and it works very well.
