I have been encountering slight jitter in some VCD's I have made lately from avi files. Audio stays in sync. Jitter increases with high action sequences. The following is all the info I can think of to include from 1 of these avi files:-

File info from VirtualDub:-

Video stream
Frame size: 608x256 23.976 fps
# of frames: 131146 (1:31:09)
Decompressor: XViD MPEG-4 Codec
Number of key frames: 1611
Min/avg/max/total key frame size: 1705/16028/53813 (25218K)
Min/avg/max/total delta frame size: 89/4698/41666 (594311K)

Settings from TMPGEnc 2.57 using Project Wizard:-

NTSC Film
Motion search precision: Highest quality (very slow)
Video source type: Non-interlace (progressive)
Field order: Top field first (field A)
Source aspect ratio: 1:1 (VGA)
Video arrange method: Full screen (keep aspect ratio)
Inverse telecine (Convert to 24 fps : Non-interlace source) - this is always checked but I uncheck it. Having it checked seems to make things worse.

If anyone can help with this I would greatly appreciate it. The only things I change myself are the motion search precision, video arrange method, and I uncheck the inverse telecine.
I have read elsewhere in the forum about Field Order and Inverse Telecine, but do not fully understand them and what they do. I think this is the area in which my problem is coming from though.

Please help!
