I am using DVD2SVCD and using the settings from here: http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvd2svcd.htm
I played my burned SVCD on my PC with PowerDVD and it was perfect. But when I play it on my DVD player, the sound and picture become out of synch. I tried lowering the bitrate to 2250, but still had no success. And sometimes, the sound jitters a bit. I found a setting on bbMPEG that I am curious about, called "Movie Offset Seconds". It is set to 2 as default. Could this be a problem? Does it change the actual MPEG-2 or just the way it is read? With the 2 second offset, it plays perfect on my PC, but not yet on the DVD player.
So what do you suggest? Should I leave the offset alone and keep messing with the bitrates, or should I change the offset? If there are any other settings that you think may need tweaking on DVD2SVCD, then please let me know.
Also, it seems the frames move smoother on the original DVD than the MPEG-2 file. Is there something I can tweak for this?
Thanks!
