Here's my question. I have an AIW 9700 Pro with ATI MMC 8.0. I have an analog Hi8 hooked up through the S video and the audio straight into my Sound Card. I encode on the fly to Mp2 720 x 480 with 44 Khz Stereo sound. The capture looks great for the first 45 minutes...then I get "lightening' artifacting on the top of the screen that goes on and off, but does go to the final product. I normally dub mp2 and then use either Pinnacle Studio 8.4 or MyDVD 4 to burn to DVD (my Sony DRU-500A). What am I doing wrong that would cause the lightening effect at the top of the screen only. I have done other dubs off my VHS at the same resolution that don't have the lightening. Can anyone help me???
System:
P4 2.0 GHZ
Asus P4T-E Motherboard
ATI AIW Radeon 9700 Pro
550 Watt Power Supply
WD 120 GB HDD on IDE 1 as Master
Sony DRU-500a on IDE 2 as Master
Toshiba 16X DVD on IDE 2 as slave
Creative Soundblaster Audigy PCI 3 (IRQ 10)
Netgear Ethernet PCI 5 (IRQ 9)
Please!!!!!
Thanks
Bob M
