  1. Hi I just burned a VCD on a 80 min CD-R. Everything works fine it's just that the MPEG file(s) where about 790MB total. How is this possible?

    I used Nero (5.5.4) & my Light-On 12x10x32x (Burn Proof)

  2. There is nothing surprising or secret in it. a 74 min disk with accomodate a VCD of 740MB and 80 min will take upto 800MB. The reason is, unlike data CDs, the VCDs do not have error correction schemes. Hence more space is available to them.

  3. So these "error correction schemes" make data-cds smaller in size? (i.e. 74 min CD-R = 650mb/80 min CD-R = 700mb) From what you told me VCDs do not need these "error correction schemes" and can hold more MPEG information, right? TIA
