  1. I am a beginner for Video Editing/Converting fields. However, I am feel very interesting in doing video. I have meet a problem as following, and hope someone can guide me.

I took the Video (using Sony - Digital Video Cam), and then using Ulead Video Studio capture the video (Pal DV Format) into the PC. After that I do the editing under Ulead Video Studio, convert it into the PAL VCD format. (.mpg), and burn it into the CD (make a VCD). However, when I play that VCD on TV. It's not clear.

Do anyone please help me on this ? Could anyone please give some suggestion and recommendation for me? Do any software or tools can make video clear ?

    Thanks !

You don't mention which version of VideoStudio you are using. If it is not version 6, then upgrade because the encoders keep getting better.

If you are using version 6, then if your DVD player supports it, you could try encoding to SVCD instead of VCD which should be "clearer".

Or, you could export your finished video as DV and use TMPGEnc to encode the file. This can be authored (formatted and burned) using Nero or ULEAD DVD MovieFactory.

Finally, if you stick with VCD, try increasing the bitrate to 1500 - 1700 (depending on what your player supports). The xVCD should be much clearer with the higher bitrate.
