I am capturing on my ATI 8500DV AIW directly inot DV AVI Format to Ulead ViedoStudio 6. When It comes time in PS to save the video, I choose the Divx Codec v5.0.2 and a 640x480 resolution. My problem is the size of the output. My main issue is size and I want the smallest file with little to no loss in quality, thus the Divx codec. The size of 1 minute of footage is 33 Mb. Now, when I see Divx AVi rips of movies out there, I see 90 minute movies that take up only 700 Mb and seemingly maintain the DVD quality. That works out to 7.7 Mb per Minute of footage. How is that 7.7/1 ratio reached when I am only getting a 33/1 ratio? TIA!
