    Hi All,

After hitting the wall several times and after reading all excellent DVD ripping guides I came with one of my own.

This is the process I am following to rip my movies:

    1. Rip using DVDDecryptor (Stream Processing Audio and Video) Watch out for the 1GB filedize in options!
    2. Rename the files so they start as VTS_01_1.VOB
    3. Run IFOEDIT , select Create IFO, load VTS_01_1.VOB as the first one and save. Close IfoEdit.
    4. OPen IFOEdit. Load VTS_01_0.IFO in IFOEDIT and press GET VTS Sectors. Go to VOB Extras and select Corect Vob-Unit, Correct Original IFO and Create new IFO files. (Don't select Re-Mux, Strip Stream or Strip VobId)
    5. Overwrite the files created in step 3 with the ones created in step 4.
    5. BURN THE DVD!!!!!

    Regards,

    Jose

When I do a "simple" movie backup (movie only, no extras or menus) I do almost the same steps; however, I do not do the part after "Get VTS Sectors" in Step 4.

What is the purpose of going into "VOB Extras" and re-creating the IFO files?

    Thanks,

    HI Clipper453,

In my case if I skip step 4, my movie will play only the first second of each chapter, jumping like crazy. Maybe your Tabletop player is not as "tricky" as mine, I have a Panasonic 32K.

    Regards,

    Jose
