Okay I've been trying FOREVER to get a (s)vcd burned. I tried NERO and its actually horrible quality (As everyone has been saying here)
I am trying to use TMPEnc but I have this problem. Randomly during encoding I get this error
Read Error ocurred at address 0049EECD of Module 'TMPGEnc.exe' with 00D4AFF4
This happens randomly . sometime at 2% through, sometimes at 25% through....It is really making me mad b/c I cannot get it done.
The File I'm tring to encode in "Hellsing - 01.avi" encoded in DIVX.
Here are my specs-win2kpro, 1700+, 80 gig WD SE (8 meg buffer), 512 megs of pc2700 ram. I just built this PC so I really doubt that the computer isn't strong enough to encode.
The files themselves are fine and I have created VCDs of these (Hellsing 1-3 fit on one vcd) using NEro but the quality isn't very well due to the fact Nero Sucks. I have also watched all the files so I know it is not the file's fault.
Can anyone help me out?
Thank you VCd Gods.[/b]

What version of TMPGE are you using?
Have you done a Scandisk recently?"Today is only yesterdays tomorrow" -
The pc is about 48 hours old....NTFS file system...
I'm using the latest version.
I got that stupid error that talked about floating point decimal bla, and I saw some help file and I went into the enviornment variables and changed directshow to have priority (I have the cyberlink powerdvd player) and I stil received the same error. -
Maybe the DIVX has some problems.
Try some of these suggestions:
1)Run it through DivFix ..to check for errors.
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html
2)Run it through Virtualdub:
http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/
(File > Open > Video > Direct Stream > Audio > Direct Stream > File > Save As AVI)
3)If you find errors in #1 suggestion, download this other version of Virtualdub that does a proper,in depth Scan for bad frames.
http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html
(Scroll down this page a nd download version called "Vdub_mp3_freeze")
then.....File > Open > Video > Check Video For Freezes.
4)If you find bad frames (they will be logged in a file in your C drive ).....
follow this guide:
http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/117930.php
(scroll down to the "vdub_mp3" instructions)
See how these things go and report back."Today is only yesterdays tomorrow"
