I have used TMPGEnc a few times, and the results are mostly OK. I was wondering if using templates would improve the quaility of the finished file, and if so, which are the best ones to use, and how do you use them.
At the moment, I just use TMPGEnc as it starts up. The only option I have changed is the field order, which has given me better results in the finished video (I was getting 'stuttering' every few seconds, and changing the order solved the problem (PAL))
There just seem so many options that I wouldn't know where to start. I just follow the guides and wait.

Thanks for the help - found it and now trying a KVCD template to see what happens (although it is SO SLOW - I hope the results are good).
