I downloaded Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in .avi format. The picture is good and all, but the sound isn't working. I'd like to burn it to VCD, but no point burning it without sound. I used VirtualDub to check the audio, but I have no idea what it means
===Audio Stream===
Sampling rate: 44100Hz
Channels: 2(stereo)
Sample precision: 16-bit
Compression: Unknown(tag 0161)
Preload skew: 10 samples (0.00s)
# of frames: 155357
Min/avg/max/total frame size: 372/372/3720 (56442K)
I'd be very happy if anyone here could help me

Your audio is probably AC3 as AC3 can show up as unknown in VirtualDub.

You could install "Nimo's Codec Package" as it comes with an AC3 audio decoder and other codecs too. It's in the Tools section.
Hope That Helps!!!:P
