  1. I have encoded and re-authored lots of DVDs using MAestro but for some reason I am having issues with Armageddon. I have re-enoced the .m2v file fine but when I try to take in the .ac3 file after runnning DVD2AVI Maestro gives frame corrupt error.

Then I try ripping just .ac3 from decrypter, decrypter won't do it. Then I rip .ac3 file using Smartripper. Imports into Maestro fine, but now audio is wayyy out of sync. In Maestro I try to sync audio with movie stream... doens't work Lines up fine but still waaaay out. All out of options that I can think of...

    Energy80, when I did a search I notice u said u backed it up succesfully would u mind sharing steps/programs. Thanks a bunch .

  2. I still can't get this one! DVD Masestro just will not accept the .ac3 file I get from DVD2AVI, Exact error "Cannot locate a frame sync word at an expected byte offset."

Trying to folow this tut to the T:

    http://digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm

From this tut all I have done is extracted files so far with DVD Decrypter and used DVD2AVI to extract the .ac3 file (also tried stream processing it from DVD Decryter=same error).

Maybe I can author it with another program. Does anyone know of another program that uses .m2v and .ac3 files for authoring. Thanks.

oh yeah running v2.9 of maestro.

TMPGEnc transcoding works fine using vbr 3100 bitrate

  3. I'm having the same problem doing Gone in 60 Seconds. Same exact error message.

Haven't tried it yet but maybe something like Cooledit might help fix the problem. Still waiting to see if anyone knows how to fix this.

Have you tried Spruce It or IfoEdit to author your DVD?

  5. i tried to author with ifoedit...no errors, but when i used Powerdvd to check the files.....the audio stops half way thru the movie.

Anyone else have any ideas on this? Have also tried re-ripping the files to get the audio again and it still does the same thing.

  6. I read another thread about this and they said to re-rip the movie with dvddecrypter and under settings change under file, to retain 1 angle in vobs. I gave this a try and it seems to work. Used dvd2avi to get the audio file and dvd maestro accepted the new audio file. Give this a try and see if it works.
