I just bought an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 32 meg DDR, but I can't figure out how to capture analog video from my Sony Hi8. Will someone please educate me?
Note: I have hooked the camera up, but what do I do next? What software should I use? I have tried capture with Ulead VideoStudio, but I just get the TV image, nothing about the camcorder.

There's probably an easier way to do this, but...
Open up the TV player, go to settings (the box with the check in it) and go in the scheduler. Set it to record from the appropriate jacks you have hooked up. I usually set to 2 mins in the future. When you see the ATI record window come up, start up the Sony. I use this method when recording to the pc (in vcd format) from my vcr. Ugly (the process, not the recording), but it works.
Of course, you can do the whole setup without recording to just test wether or not your getting video and sound.
Oh, and I almost forgot. The dabgum ATI card needs to have an audio cable from the audio-out to the audio-in on your sound card. Go figure. But it IS in the docs.
