What type of disk format does the playstation 2 support which is outfitted with a magic 3.5 modchip? DVD-R,DVD+R,DVD-RW,DVD+RW?

With a modchip it can definitely read DVD-R and DVD+R, but I don't know about without one, as I've never tried on an unmodded machine.
I'll guess that yes, they can though. Not sure about RW discs though. -
Im burning Memorex DVD+RWs with a DVD100i and the disks play fine on my XBOX and my brother PS2, although they didn't work with some of the autoring software that i tried out, the one what worked for me was Sonic MyDVD
