    anyone know how to unlock a title on a dvd? i'm trying to rip the dvd using smart ripper but it says one of the titles are lock and to unlock them using a player. what exactly am i suppose to do?

    play the dvd in a software player first for a few seconds

    Or optionally, try a different ripper. I keep 3 or four just in case one spits up on a particular DVD. You should also check your ripper's settings. Changing the frequency that it checks for keys can resolve the problem. Try DVD Decryptor. It rarely ever fails on a DVD.
