Hi,
I have winXP. I installed windows media player 9, however, it will not play my divx's? Evertime I try to load them windows media player closes. How would this be fixed? Please and thank you.

I have found that something with the NIMO codec package crashes Media Player. What I did was completely uninstall NIMO and then reinstall it but choosing one thing at a time. For example, click the .exe and chose to only install the video codecs and let them install. THen test it to see if it still works. If it does then click the .exe again and choose to install the audio codecs. Keep doing this until you find that it doesn't work. Then you've found the problem and you can unistall and reinstall all the things that DID work.

It worked. Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it. One of the subtitle files was causing trouble.
