I have recently purchased a Pacific DVD-1002 from Asda as my first DVD player. However I was fairly annoyed to find that VCDs have blocks on the screen with interrupted play and very jerky, slower playback. The blocks are similar to uncorrected errors with digital TV recievers, also ruining sound. Now I borrowed my cousins which isn't unfortunately the same model, but is still a 70 quid Naiko one and his plays all my VCDs fine. I have read many a review on this player saying that it can generally take whatever is thrown at it including most VCDs which leads me to believe that I've picked up a nacked one.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to sort it out, or maybe have I got a faulty player that needs returning? If anyone can help, that would be most appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Platinum.
