Do you have Nero installed?
Nero Drive Speed is installed as part of the standard installation and allows you to set maximum read speed and also spin down time for your CD and DVD drives.

I dont know if I alreaday have installed Nero Drive Speed. but i installed Nero! I heard that if I use WinOnCD 5.02 to burn my avi. vidoes this might resolve the problem. Could this be right?
thnx for answring -
divx AVIs are a very system intensive format to play. Mostly CPU wise but if you have little RAM maybe drive wise also. You can always run them from your harddrive.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
