Does anybody know a utility to split Stereo (not JointStereo) mpeg audio Layer-2 (demuxed from a SVCD) into 2 mono mpeg audio streams without the long way run of transforming it to wav and reencode them again to mono mpeg? My guess is that is possible to split audio chunks and write them to 2 files without reencoding, operating just in headers.
I want to copy some SVCDs from a friend and they have 1 stereo audio track with Left channel in English and Right channel in Portuguese. My 344 Pioneer DVD player can separate the Left and Right channel without problems, but a new 615 Philips player don't.
Thanks for any help.
