Nero Problem

I am trying to burn a VCD file on to a disc..
The file 1.01 GB and I have got many spare CDs for burning.
The Cd is 24 x speed, 700 Mb, 80 min
AS soon as I try to burn the cd the error message pops up saying
There is not enough space to burn this compilation onto this medium
Please insert another medium that provides more space

What I was looking to do is spread it over 2 CDs to cover the whole movie but I dod know how to do it and I have spent many hours with no sucess.. Can someone help me out and please remember that I am a complete newbe..
