I have an ATI All In Wonder 8500DV and I have been able to capture from my satellite system successfully using virtualdub and PICVideo MJPEG codec at 720 x 480. I would get approximately 1 dropped frame every 10 min. This was using the original WDM drivers on the disc that came with the card. Recently I updated the drivers for the card to the latest "Catalyst" driver and the system works good (Impressive improvement in gaming performance) but when I try to capture anything I get frame drops constantly (50 to 60 frames every 30 sec.). I have tried using the new drivers with the old WDM driver and it doesn't change the results at all. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can suggest a workaround ...
