    I got Cyberlink's PowerVCR II 3.0 Deluxe couple of days ago, and I want to capture something from TV in SVCD format, but it's not there. Before I bought this version, I downloaded a trial version of PowerVCR II, but I don't know which version and it had the SVCD template. I tried to make a new template, but the frame size can't be the original SVCD format. Is there any way I can get the original SVCD format???

    Can someone please help me???

    Hi
    There is a way by modifying the registry. You can find this by searching this forum its been mentioned on numerous times.
    Although I would suggest you capture at the highest quality your system can do. Then encode down to SVCD using TMPGEnc or alike.

    I capture at a custom profile of ;

    Mpeg2 720 x 576 (use 640 x 480 or 720 x 480 for NTSC)
    Bitrate 8000
    Quality Setting = 3

    I then encode down to VCD or SVCD with better results than capturing straight to SVCD settings.

    Cheers

    Well, I don't want to touch anything in the registry, but I will do it the way you said, with higher quality and then making it to SVCD.

    Thanks again
