loveo!
Im pretty new to the whole capture thing, what would you folks recommend to someone who is looking to capture some video tapes to use on the computer, eventually as VCD's and possibly to subtitle some programs in english. id like for them to be higher in quality, but at the same time not spend hundreds of dollars for a professional system. for all of you more experienced out there, any suggestions?

I am in a similair position, so some more questions... i am thinking that the Dazzle II with a fairly high AMD motherboard (K7m266) at about 1.4ghz? Is this good... i hear that dazzle has some problems with AMD is the Asus K7M266 one of these?
This is cheap i suppose...also i am thinking that if i can encode in avi and the slowly convert to MPEG this will result in better quality... is this the case and is there any point in getting the dazzle... is this a waste of time?
