    Hi All
    I have a G4 - 500MHZ- AGP running OS 9.2.1 and OSX 10.2 - with 384MB of RAM

I would like to exchange my DVD-RAM (still running but pretty much useless)
for a Pioneer DVR-105. After reading several posts, I have learned that the drivers for this drive are either already available or will be available in
OSX10.2.3 ( it is probable that I will also have to download the 4X fix,if it is not included in 10.2.3)

IDVD cannot be purchased from Apple any longer, and Iam currently using Imovie2 to edit my home videos.

Could you people help me select the right software to create DVD-Rs from Imovie2 and also to create my own music CDs. Reading the different postings it seems that "Toast 5 Titanium" and "Nero 5.5" are the most favored programs.

Your help and guidance will be appreciated (any dos and don't will also be appreciated)

    Taronger

10.2.2 included the drivers for the A05/105 drive. iDVD is still available from Apple for $20...they say it's an upgrade, but it's in fact the full version and will work with the A05/105 in any G4 with OS X.

Nero does not work with OS X (barely works in 9) so you should be getting Toast.

    iDVD from the Apple Store

If you dont already have iDVD (i.e., you dont use a Mac with a SuperDrive), will the install go forward on this "upgrade" version available at the Apple store?

Yes, but it has to be a G4 with a DVD-RW (Pioneer) drive. It will not install unless it detects both. It does not look for a previous version of iDVD.
