  1. I am converting vhs tapes to vcd. Some, for example, are music videos which i can capture a song at a time (vs. the whole video). My question is, should i capture the whole video or the individual songs? I ask this because of chapters, I would like each song to have it's own corresponding chapter, making it convienent to skip directly to the begining of the next music clip. Or, if i rip the whole video, will i still be able to designate chapters? If so, what software allows me to assign chapters? What ones are recommended?

thanks for you time and help!

  2. If you do seperate video for each you can use Nero and have the functionality you want. Although i haven't use it yet TSCV seems to be the the new kid on the block for putting chapters anywhere in a single or multiple video track(s).

  3. As what PNPman said.

It depends on your application. Using entrypoints as chapters is really only required if you need to have seamless playback between the chapters.

If each of your music videos is discrete, creating each one as a separate MPEG and using each as a separate track on a VCD is probably a better option.

"TSCV" is a GUI frontend to VCDImager.

  4. For music videos, I would go with "Nero" capture each song and then use Simple menu in Nero. Why?. You don't have to get headache with XML and the way to create entrypoints. One more thing if you use "TSCV GUI OF VCDIMAGER" you have to check to find the entry points of each songs, TOO MANY PROBLEMS ALREADY!!

  5. For those still unaware, Nero does not create menus properly. Nero 5.5 menus don't work on some stand-alone players and most software players.

    Regards.
