I just made the jump to a Pioneer DVD R/RW.

Can anyone suggest a good program (free or commercial) to make copies of commercial DVD movies. Thanks

Maybe I was not clear in my above post.

I want to copy dvd movies to DVD, not VCD or SVCD.

  5. Hi Lenny,
I too like you got a SonyDRU-500A for Xmas, and I also would like to know how to burn comercial movies.
I don't think sarcasm was called for in the answer Tommyknocker gave to you!

We are after all Newbies! The only difference between us and Lenny, is that he knows how to do it, (but of course its illegal) just as burning music cd's is,but everyone does it including Lenny.

    Give us a break!!

There was no sarcasm implied. I found two guides for him, and gave him the links to both. What made you think I was sarcastic?
    Hello.

  7. Two solutions I have found in my journeys:

    1) RAPTORS GUIDE, freeware, which can be found on this site. (for the more technical user)
    2) DVDxCopy, $100, for the lazy person (Like me).

No it's not, providing you own the original you are copying.
