  1. Can anyone please help I have downloaded loads of movies some of them are dvd rips they are now avi files. and I cant, put them no my dvdr/rw it keeps saying that the file is unsupported if the movie is split in 2 it will work but the full movie will not work

  2. The full movie AVIs are probable DIVX encoded versions of the original DVD MPEG2. To be used as a DVD you would need to re-encode them back to MPEG2 DVD compatible format (see conversion guides). Otherwise you would watch them on your PC.

    The ones that are split are typically VCD compatible MPEG1 files, which your burning software recognizes as a legitimate video file format. Most movies need to be split to fit on VCD.

  3. You can download or buy pinnacle express, it cost $25.00 at your local CompUSA, all this software does is it takes your AVI files and makes DVD from them, so it does it's own mpeg2 encoding. You can even make menus and Chapters.
