  1. Hey,

Let me start off by saying this, I am familiar with TMPGENC, Virtual Dub and Clad DVD 1.70, and VCDImagerGUI, and Nero.

What i plan on doing is ripping the DVD to my harddrive and use FlaskMPEG to create the vobs to seperate video/audio files then have TEMPGenc multiplex them.

However then i would like to add chapters, so i will be using Chapter-X-Tractor, and xtract the chapters from my .ifo file.

After that, i will create a .BIN file with VCDEasy that contains chapters.

Now here is the part i need help on:

I have the newest version of NERO and that won't burn the SVCD ntsc test on this site correctly but i think that is because that test contains chapters.

i have tried fireburner and CDRWin. CDRWin doesn't let me use Disk-at-once; only Track-at-once, and when played on my DVD player, it will not play correctly.

So could someone tell me how to burn this Detailed BIN, but not using VCDEasy cuase VCDEasy doesn't like my CD-Writer.

    thanks

  2. The best programs to burn CUE/BIN image:
    - CDRDAO
    - CDRWin

CDRDAO works with essentially all modern IDE burners (external burners need not apply). Usually, the problem is with VCDEasy/CDRDAO is that Windows does not come with an adequate ASPI layer.

For this, you should download and install ForceASPI. After you do so, reboot immediately. It should then work. CDRDAO works flawlessly on both Win98SE and WinXP for me and I simply used ForceASPI.

Otherwise, you can try CDRWin. It is curious that you had the "TAO" problem? What version are you using? If it is anything other than a 3.x version, then I suggest that you go download the newest 3.x version from http://www.goldenhawk.com It is a limited demo but it will allow you to burn at the minimum speed of your burner.

Nero can burn CUE/BIN images as well, but does not support subindices (ignores them). Make sure you have a new version of Nero (if you are not sure, go download the latest update).

The best alternative method is to get daemon-tools and mount your CUE/BIN image as a virtual CD. Then, you can use the "Copy CD" function of your favourite burner to burn the disc. CloneCD is the best for this.

I don't recommend Fireburner. If you do use it, you will have to remove the subindices. If you know how, you can delete them yourself with a text editor. Otherwise, I suggest using the "Subindices Remover" option in GNU VCDImager Tools GUI -- http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html

    Good luck!

    Regards.
