    i'm encoding a 16:9 xvid avi to PAL vcd 2.0, tried 16:9 format but it always codes it full screen, which looks very sad. I tried 4:3 and 16:9 for now with same result.

    LSX 3.5 has a nice feature to add black top and bottom blocks, anybody know how to do it in TMPGEnc?

    Try MPEG settings -> Advanced ->Video Arrange Method "Full Screen Keep Aspect Ratio" This should hopefully maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio.
