  3. In a very similar thread, someone had mentionned the vidomi encoder, but I cannot remember. Guess it's time for a forum search.

There's one thing I can't stand is SHELL's, when trying to argue quality.
..vidome, gnot, nob, etc. I've ben using vdub for ALL my divX endeavors.
But, I've yet to actually SEE a sample of a complete divX movie w/ chapters
    and/or entry points.

I'd sure love to see such examples. They don't have to be whole movies
mind you.. just a few short megabytes (20MB) should be more than enough
    for DEMOnstration purposes.

..but, the idea is a great one non-the-less, and I wouldn't mind creating
them in my encodes too. But just not if I gotta start using the above
SHELL's - shorely, there must be an alternate way.. I'll keep my eye out.

    -vhelp
PS: maybe something to add to my someday, divX player

    Happy HOLIDAY all.

  5. As far as backing up DVD's, I use gordian knot. By far the best imho. As far as capturing, I use v'dub to encode and it works good too (providing you know what you're really doing, both are good programs). As far as vidomi, flask and the others... I'm not impressed much and I stay away from them as much as possible...

Mind you, I don't feel a need for chapters, nor subtitles... As long as I have the main movie, with good picture and sound quality, I'm happy.
